Doel/aanleiding
Kinderen die weinig te eten hebben en wonen in huizen die op instorten staan.
Gambia is 1 van de armste landen in de wereld en Lamin Village de plaats waar onze vogelgids vandaan komt is zo'n dorp waar de allerarmsten wonen.
Ons doel is om daar via donaties er voor te zorgen dat we deze met name kinderen zo nu en dan kunnen helpen met voedsel, kleding en speelgoed.
In januari 2024 gaan wij terug naar Gambia en hopen wij daar een paar gelukkige kinderen te zien door ze voor even te laten vergeten in wat voor armoede zij leven.
Purpose reason
In January 2023 we visited Gambia and saw the poverty there by visiting the local population. Children who have little to eat and live in houses that are on the verge of collapse. The Gambia is one of the poorest countries in the world and Lamin Village, the place where our bird guide comes from, is a village where the poorest live. Our goal is to ensure through donations that we can help these children in particular with food, clothing and toys every now and then. In January 2024 we will return to Gambia and hope to see some happy children there by letting them forget for a while the poverty they live in.
